Solana memecoin glossary

The words you meet in the first minutes of a new coin, in plain language: what a bundle is, who the funder is, what graduation means, and what Anceta means by a relative, a family or a survivor.

28 terms, each a cell of the strand

  • On the chain
  • In the market
  • Anceta's own term
Bonding curveOn the chain
The pricing rule a launchpad such as pump.fun uses before a coin has a normal market: the price rises with every buy and falls with every sell along a fixed curve. Trading on the curve is what a brand-new coin's first minutes are made of.
Bundle (launch bundle)In the market
Several wallets buying a coin in the same first seconds, usually set up in advance by the people launching it, so that a large share of the supply is in their hands before anyone else can buy. The bundle trace shows which wallets bought in the launch window, who funded them and how much they have sold since. What the launch holders predicted.
BundlerIn the market
One of the wallets in a launch bundle, or the person running them.
CA (contract address)On the chain
On Solana, the coin's mint address: the long string of letters and digits that identifies the token everywhere. A name or a ticker can be reused by anyone; the address cannot.
Creator (dev wallet)On the chain
The wallet that created the coin. Its earlier coins and how they ended are the single most telling thing about a new one: in October 2026, coins from a creator whose earlier coin had already rugged went on to rug 46.9% of the time, against 12.8% for the rest. The October 2026 report.
Dev soldIn the market
The creator's wallet has sold its holding, in part or in full. Watched closely because a creator selling into the first minutes is how many rugs happen.
Family (Anceta)Anceta's own term
A group of coins whose genomes are so alike that they read as the work of the same operators: the same recipe under different names. Anceta builds families from its own data and shows how each family's coins ended.
Freeze authorityOn the chain
The wallet allowed to freeze any holder's token account, so that it can neither send nor sell. 'Revoked' means nobody holds that power any more. Every pump.fun coin in Anceta's sample had it revoked, rugs included, so a revoked freeze authority is the norm rather than a safety sign. Mint and freeze authority, explained.
FunderOn the chain
The wallet that sent the SOL a launch wallet used to buy. When several launch wallets share one funder, they are one actor however many addresses they use; the bundle trace draws them together.
Genome (Anceta)Anceta's own term
Anceta's record of a coin's DNA: dozens of traits derived from its name, description, links, launch timing, wallet setup and first trades, each normalised so that coins can be compared. Two coins with near-identical genomes are relatives whatever they are called.
Graduation (bonding, migration)On the chain
The moment a launchpad coin has been bought enough to leave the bonding curve and get a normal liquidity pool on a decentralised exchange. Terminals call the step 'bonded' or 'migrated'. Only a small share of launches ever get there.
HoldersOn the chain
The number of wallets holding the coin. Anceta counts a launch as having found buyers when it reaches three holders within ten minutes; in October 2026 only 44% of pump.fun launches did.
InsiderIn the market
A wallet that got its supply from the launch itself or from the people behind the coin, rather than by buying on the open market, and so is likely to sell when they do.
Liquidity (LP)In the market
The pool of the coin and SOL that trades are made against once the coin has a market. Pulling the liquidity, so that nobody can sell, is the original meaning of a rug pull; on launchpad coins the collapse more often comes from the launch wallets selling.
Market capIn the market
The coin's price times its total supply. For a coin that is minutes old it is a measure of attention rather than of value, and it can fall by 80% in under a minute.
Mint authorityOn the chain
The wallet allowed to create more of the coin. While it exists the supply is not fixed. 'Revoked' means it is gone for good. Like freeze authority, revoked is now the norm on launchpad coins. Mint and freeze authority, explained.
pump.funOn the chain
The Solana launchpad where most memecoins start: creating a coin takes a minute and very little money, trading begins at once on a bonding curve, and a coin that gets bought enough graduates to a pool. In October 2026 Anceta recorded about 43,000 pump.fun launches a day.
Relative (Anceta)Anceta's own term
A past coin whose genome is highly similar to the coin in front of you. A coin's page lists its closest relatives and how each one ended, which is how a brand-new name is connected to its history.
Risk score (Anceta)Anceta's own term
One number from 0 to 100 for a coin, from Anceta's own model trained on how coins actually ended, with the flags behind it and how much data it had. A coin is rated again as late facts arrive, and each rating round is kept. Pattern analysis, not financial advice.
Rug pullIn the market
When the people behind a coin sell everything at once, dumping their supply or pulling its liquidity, and the price collapses, often within the coin's first hour. On Solana the same operators do it again and again under new names.
Rugged (Anceta's rule)Anceta's own term
A coin whose market collapsed on chain: for example 80% or more below its peak within its first hour while its creator or launch wallets were selling, or one that fell under a $5k market cap and stopped trading. A coin checked and marked by hand counts too. Coins still traded after the watch period count as survivors.
Serial creatorIn the market
A wallet that launches coins again and again. In October 2026, 1,590 wallets with twenty or more launches made 53% of all pump.fun coins, and a coin from a creator with 20+ other launches in the past day rugged 46.3% of the time. Who launched them.
SniperIn the market
A wallet, usually a bot, that buys a coin in the very first block or seconds of its life to sell into the buyers who come after. Snipers are not the launchers, but a launch full of them leaves little supply for anyone else.
SurvivorAnceta's own term
A coin still being traded after Anceta's watch period, with no rug recorded. Most launches are neither rugs nor survivors: they simply never find buyers. How long memecoins last.
Token-2022On the chain
Solana's newer token program. Its tokens can carry extensions fixed at creation, some of which give someone power over holders: a transfer fee, a transfer hook, a permanent delegate, a pause switch. Most new launchpad coins are created with it.
Top-10 shareIn the market
The part of the supply held by the ten largest wallets, read at launch. When ten wallets held over half the supply at launch in October 2026, the coin rugged far more often than the baseline.
TrenchesIn the market
Trader slang for the feed of brand-new launches, where coins are minutes old and most will be gone within the hour. Terminals name their new-pairs view after it.
Watch periodAnceta's own term
The time Anceta keeps following a coin after launch before calling it a survivor. Its length is part of Anceta's rule and is not published.

Where the numbers come from

The figures in these definitions come from Anceta's own reading of Solana, published in the Research section with the method and the data behind each: the October 2026 rug pull report, the guide to checking a memecoin, the authorities explainer and how long memecoins last.

Pattern analysis, not financial advice. Similar coins can behave differently.
