What the check shows
A new coin arrives with a new name, a new ticker and a new picture, and nothing on its own page says whether its launchers have done this before. Anceta reads every new Solana coin as it launches, records its genome (dozens of traits of its name, description, links, launch and wallets) and compares it with every coin of the last 30 days. The coin's page then shows:
Its closest relatives, and how they ended
The past coins whose genome is most similar to this one, each with its outcome. A coin highly similar to coins that rugged is the first thing to know.
The creator's record
The other coins launched by the same wallet and what happened to them. In October 2026, a creator whose earlier coin had already rugged rugged again 46.9% of the time, against 12.8% for the rest.
The launch wallets
Who bought in the launch window, who funded them, what share of the supply they took and how much of it they have already sold: the bundle trace.
The website and the X account
Whether they exist, and whether they actually name this coin's contract address.
The holders and the authorities
Top-ten share, the creator's own holding, mint and freeze authority, liquidity and market cap, with the time each fact was read.
A risk score
One number from 0 to 100 from Anceta's own model, trained on how coins actually ended, with the flags behind it and how much data it had.
Every fact is stored with the time it was observed, and a coin is rated again as late facts arrive, so the page shows how the reading moved rather than only its latest state.
Why the check has to run early
Anceta's own numbers, from the October 2026 report and the guide to checking a memecoin, read on every pump.fun launch of eight days:
- Coins that found buyers, then rugged
- 27.5%
- 42,360 of 153,941 pump.fun coins
- Rugs over within a minute of launch
- 65%
- 80% or more below their peak at one minute
- Rugged, when the creator's earlier coin had
- 46.9%
- against 12.8% without that history
- Sampled coins with both authorities revoked
- 100%
- all 1,500, the 450 rugs included
Most rugs are over before a careful manual check could finish, and the oldest check of all, mint and freeze authority, passes every launchpad coin (why revoked is the norm now). So the check runs as the coin launches: by the time you find a coin, its page is ready, with the creator's record and the launch wallets that did separate rugs from the rest.
Questions people ask
- What is a rug pull?
- A rug pull is when the people behind a coin sell everything at once, dumping their supply or pulling its liquidity, and the price collapses, often within the coin's first hour. On Solana the same operators do it again and again under new names, which is why Anceta checks each new coin against the coins of the last 30 days and shows which of its close relatives rugged.
- What counts as rugged in Anceta?
- A coin whose market collapsed on chain: for example 80% or more below its peak within its first hour while its creator or launch wallets were selling, or one that fell under a $5k market cap and stopped trading. Coins still traded after the watch period count as survivors. The October 2026 report uses the same rule.
- Is the Solana rug checker free?
- Yes. The Anceta web app and the RugUAV extension are free with an account; a confirmed email is all it takes, no card. On the free plan each coin arrives 5 seconds after launch, and the website, X and tech checks are Pro's. Pro makes both instant and complete. See plans and pricing.
- Which chains does it cover?
- Solana only, and pump.fun launches first. Anceta reads the chain itself rather than a form the launcher filled in, so a coin is checked the moment it exists, not after someone submits it.
- Does a good score mean the coin is safe?
- No. The check tells you which past coins this one resembles and how they ended, and what its launch looked like. That is pattern analysis, not financial advice: similar coins can behave differently, and a coin with no warning sign can still fail.
- How is this different from RugCheck?
- RugCheck reports on the token itself: its authorities, holders, liquidity and a list of risks. Anceta starts from the coin's history: the earlier coins it is most similar to and how they ended, the creator's record, and the wallets that bought at launch. Both are worth a look; the alternatives page compares the tools side by side.
